rob101
To begin with make sure you turn on the Step locks and go to setting making set lock from 1 to .25, then set the pivot to center. I am using Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors, and shrinking it. I group the plant and make a copy of it lifting the copy up high to give myself room for the next step, ensure the two are not grouped together. If they are highlight one of them and ungroup it then regroup both plants seperately. Step 1: encase the plant in a ball, make the material glass so you can see the item, ensure the ball completely encloses the item and using the transform tool make sure the ball is equal in all sides according to the scale. Step 2: Group the ball with the plant, I made the ball blue so you can see the ball. Step 3: Move to shrink the item by clicking the box with the arrow inside. It will give you a gizmo with three points, click on the ball and click one of the points down towards the middle to shrink, away from the middle to increase the size. The StepLock will ensure it goes down by .25 and you will see the item lose it's shape. Click on the ball again to get just the ball's measurement, then click away on the screen and reclick on the ball to gain control of the ball and the plant. Step 4: Click take another side of the gizmo and shrink it, repeat the clicking on the ball to ensure the ball's scale downside is the same on two sides of the scale. Step 5: Click away on the screen and back on the ball to shrink the last point of the gizmo. click on the ball and all three parts of the scale should be the same or very very close to it and you should have a smaller version of the plant. Step 6: If needed repeat the steps two times before rescaling the ball to have all three scales of the ball matching. Only scale the item you have twice before putting the same numbers on the ball. The reason for the ball is because when you shrink an item the center point moves, inorder to shrink it correctly you have to shrink it by the same point you clicked on and shrunk. That is why the ball encases the entire item and is clicked on repeatedly.

Dallas
you can yes, just group, make sure that your set on Global as well as Center then the Shift + drag with cursor in the resizing center box the gets you the same result. dragging down right the grouped object will go smaller, dragging up left in that box gets you a larger grouped object different builders have diff techniques is all
